Sherman's humans:

Cheryl and Harry have been taking care of our wee boy Sherman since he was four months old. We hesitated getting a puppy because we're a family who enjoy holidays, but the reassurance that we can leave him in a loving home while away was a game changer. Sprocket and Indiana are great with him, teaching him how to be a good dog and to have some manners around lady dogs too, thanks Indiana.

Our girls get upset when we leave Sherman but the regular pupdates of photos, videos and messages are a huge reassurance to us. He's always delighted to see us after a holiday, but equally delighted to go to Happy Home Dog Boarding for his own wee jolly.

Dennis' humans:

Our dog Dennis (Cavalier) boarded with Cheryl and Harry for one night in June in preparation for a longer stay later in the year. We have never boarded Dennis with anyone other than family before so we were nervous but Cheryl made us feel really at ease. Communication was really good and on the night we received picture messages with updates which was reassuring.

Dennis loved staying and got on with the other two dogs and when we collected him he was really happy and relaxed which made us think we boarded him with great people. They looked after Dennis great and treated him like one of the family. Dennis is booked in again as we are off on holiday and we would definitely recommend Cheryl to others.

Milly's humans:

Cheryl was recommended to me by our neighbour and upon meeting her I knew why. She has such a caring way with dogs, particularly Milly. I was kept up to date which put us at ease during our time away. You could see she had a good time and had been well cared for.  So much so that we instantly booked her in for another break.

Mollie and Henry's humans:

We cannot recommend Cheryl and Harry highly enough. We were welcomed to visit their home before booking our dogs to stay. Communications were first class and they were made to feel at home as soon as they arrived.  We got regular text "pupdates" and pictures sent to us during our few days away.  These were very reassuring and made us feel relaxed and at ease whilst away.

When we collected the dogs at the end of their stay they were happy and content.  It was obvious from their behaviour they had enjoyed their holiday as much as we had enjoyed ours (we have had many huffs over the years when leaving our dogs).  One of our dogs is a rescue and is quite shy and timid and Cheryl and Harry took her needs into consideration and handled her beautifully.  We have already booked again.  Having found Cheryl and Harry we have no hesitation in going away in future knowing our dogs will be very well looked after.

Marvin's humans:

During the first few months after we adopted Marvin from the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, Cheryl provided invaluable help and support and continues to be part of all our lives today. Marvin is always delighted to see her, especially when she has her own homemade dog treats (liver cake being a specialty)! We always had a well-exercised, tired out pooch, Marvin has so much fun with Cheryl and her 2 dogs, Sprocket & Indiana.

Cheryl is a very caring dog owner and adores all dogs. She is always happy to give her time and advice from her experience of her own dogs, and from working with dogs over the years through her business Edinburgh Dog Photography. I would not hesitate to trust Cheryl with Marvin, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her dog services to all.

Snoop and Elmo's humans:

We entrusted Cheryl and Harry to look after our most important pups, Elmo and Snoop, who are used to the finer things in life! Not that I would class them as spoiled (who am I kidding they are the most spoiled dogs in the world) but I had no worry when saying goodbye on the first night. In fact,

I’m pretty sure the pesky pups didn’t even realise their humans had left, they were too busy tucking into some homemade liver cake. Cheryl and Harry are the most caring, animal loving, crazy hippies you could ever hope to meet and your prized pooches will be in safe and reliable hands. I have known ‘Charry’ for several years and Elmoop love their two beautiful, loving, well behaved and best friends in the whole entire world, Sprocket and Indiana.

My dogs are at their happiest and have the most fun when spending time with Charry (it’s nothing to do with the liver cake – honest!). My only worry is they might not want to come home!
